John Connolly

John Connelly has been inspiring people to become resource advocates using adventure recreation throughout his career. John has been in the adventure tourism industry since the 1970s and has founded whitewater rafting operations in Maine, New York, West Virginia, Maryland, Italy, and Switzerland and sea kayaking operations in Maine, North Carolina, and Florida as well as a variety of related hospitality businesses. After a decade of developing the outdoor adventure, outdoor education, and experiential retail business for outdoor retailer L.L.Bean, Inc., he has been consulting in the outdoors space, primarily in the areas of safety, risk management, customer experience, and operations, for a variety of for-profit and nonprofit organizations and is an ATTA AdventureEDU educator.

Andres Diaz

Andres comes to the ATTA with 10 years of experience in positions related to the promotion and marketing of tourism destinations. His knowledge in Theories of Development, Sustainable Tourism, Territorial Marketing, Tourism Distribution Channels, and Tourism Product Design supports his work as regional manager for Latin America. A true adventure traveler, it is his passion to be in contact with nature.  Andres loves to start every day with a good Colombian coffee, especially if he is going to ride his bike through Andean landscapes and mythical ports. He strongly believes that tourism is the best tool to generate environmental conservation processes, while producing economic opportunities for local communities.
