Producing a Film
Flowing from a well organized pre-production process the actual production phase involves getting out there and capturing the footage. In this section we will cover everything you need to know to ensure you, or those you’ve hired, will be creating the shots needed to tell your story properly. This includes understanding camera basics and filming techniques that support the emotions you want your audience to feel. Along with general topics such as audio, lighting, interviews and drones, we will also dive into some of the unique challenges of filming adventure travel and provide you with tips and tools to help you get phenomenal shots.

Editing a Film
Post-production is where the magic happens, bringing your video project to life. Much like the previous two phases, your chances of success are greatly improved with planning. This starts with a clear and organized digital asset management plan. From there we will cover editing styles and techniques that will help amplify your adventure video along with the importance of getting your audio just right. There will be times that you will have gaps in your production to fill and we will discuss cost effective ways to fill them. This section is not a tutorial on editing but more about developing an understanding of everything that goes into the post-production process so that you can help ensure your video is conveying the message that will motivate your audience. It also will address crucial questions about how to edit for various distribution options online.

Distributing a Film
Once the final edit is complete the real fun begins - getting your video out there for the world to see. Too often this phase is not prioritized and video views fall flat. You are doing all your hard work a huge disservice if your video is not optimized for the platform you are distributing it on. We will provide a detailed breakdown of all the current platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and how best to optimize video for them, including the importance of paid promotion. Each social platform has an option to target your ideal traveler and float your video in-front of them. This section will also cover outreach through film festivals, PR and traditional media, and ways to extend the life of your video footage through recycling.
