Description
This report provides results from climate-focused questions in a consumer survey ATTA undertook in partnership with Outside. Responses were gathered from Outside Interactive’s media brand audiences. Four thousand, seven hundred and forty-seven (4,747) responses were received between April 19 and May 3, 2022.
Key Findings:
- Most respondents believe they can make a difference for climate with their actions
- Most respondents say they would like it if their travel spending helped the climate, however those under 45 are more enthusiastic (70%) than those over 45 (57%)
- Nearly 70% of respondents in both age groups believe buying eco/ethical products can help when it comes to climate
- The majority have not considered altering travel plans based on their knowledge of emissions associated with their travel; very few have considered incorporating carbon removal expenditures into their travel budgets
Survey results signal practical opportunities for travel business which are summarized at the conclusion of the report.
