In November, 2024 a group of C-level and sustainability executives and climate solution innovators from travel, climate tech, transportation, finance, energy and media sectors gathered together in Bergen and Ålesund, Norway. Their mission: learn about new approaches for business transformation in this era of climate instability and forge new relationships and strategies to support climate goals and business success. The event was a first in the travel sector, and a collaborative effort by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), Tomorrow’s Air, and Innovation Norway.
This paper offers a more in-depth look at key findings and the results of select peer-to-peer sessions.
Executives leading through this time of climate instability or people working in sustainability-focused roles in the travel sector will find in this summary an introduction to important climate solutions that can be integrated into business-as-usual operations. Also included are the results of valuable peer-to-peer sessions that took place during the conference. In these sessions business leaders shared their concerns and challenges in implementing climate strategies, and sought advice from each other, many of which are captured here in this paper.
